Pastor Eric Christmas Stories Day 2!

Today's reading is an old, old story entitled "The Fourth Wise Man" written as a short novel, or a long short story, by Henry Van Dyke. It was initially published in 1895 and was made into a movie in 1985.

I'll read to you the story of the Wise Men from the Gospel of Matthew, which helps with the backdrop to this wonderful short story.

Here's the video:

And since the Wise Men were kind of unsuspecting characters, listen to this wonderful Christmas Flash Mob with a whole lot of other unsuspecting characters!  And please, sing along loudly!

 Pastor Eric Christmas Stories 1

Greetings from Zion Lutheran in beautiful Redmond, Oregon!  During this Season of Advent, when things are pretty dreary all over, I want to share with you some Christmas Stories to bring some joy and hope in all our lives!  We look forward to Christmas and the birth of Jesus, even in the midst of the whole mess we're in.

I'll be sharing with you some stories from books, stories of hymns and songs, and other Christmas stories each day in addition to our Wednesday and Sunday services.  Some of the books I'll share early on just in case you want to buy the book I'm reading to read it to your children or grandchildren over Zoom or FaceTime.

The first book is The Tale of Three Trees, which is a wonderful book to share with your younger loved ones.  It's available on Amazon at:  https://smile.amazon.com/Tale-Three-Trees-Traditional-Folktale/dp/0745917437/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=The+three+trees&qid=1606669635&sr=8-2

And to lighten up the dreary days, listen in to a "O Come, All Ye Faithful" flash mob!  And enjoy and sing along!
